That is an incredibly well composed image; from the incredible modeling work, over the depth of field, to the overall view angle.

You get the sense of height and speed you would experience in an inner atmosphere flight and having spent some time in airliners I can definitely say that this is exactly what you would be seeing while flying over a city; be it during take-off or landing.

The color scheme would definitely work with either a sunrise or a sunset and it works very, very well.

I'm impressed with the composition and if this airliner/jet really existed, this would serve well as a promotional poster for any airline that would choose to have this fine machine in their hangars!

This is one of the best artwork that I've saw ever in my hole life!!! Incredible imagination and magnificent 3-D technique of this deviation that you did is absolutely amazing. The contrast is done precisely well and cell shading on this is done very perfect. The picture looks so realistic and it's done Amazing. The sunset and the shiny effects that you did on his surface and on the glass of this air craft machine are done great. Everything is soft and so professorially done. The atmosphere is done excellent. This artwork it has so many details that it more looks it's done with photo camera not with Adobe Photo Shop. And the details are done very very perfect. Every single details is see and everything is done to the smallest details that I've have nothing more to say accept, amazing work on this! All congratulations to you! Alex.

Amazing work! Nicely displayed and I really enjoy the design of the wing foil and integration of its engines. Very Smooth. I'm less fond of the shape of the nose/front part of this ship, but that is a personal opinion of course ;)

Ładny stateczek. ;)
Super design, ale najbardziej w oko wpadł mi ten płomień z silników... Może dlatego, że lubię niebieski? xD

This is definitely my favorite ship. Its amazing! I think my favorite part is the engines. they just look so amazingly right. Like a fusion of a jet engine and an ion engine or maybe a plasma jet. I would love to see some more ships with similar designs, different versions and stuff. :D It's an amazing looking ship and I would love to see more like it.

Love the engines, as well as that grey strip of corrugated material (it reminds me of the Refit Enterprise for some reason).

always wanted to learn 3ds max, and photoshop but I've never really had the time to sit down and learn them. keep up the awesome job. what's the largest sci-fi ship you've made to date? anything on the lines of an imperial destroyer or bigger?

They're really good programs, but if you don't have a student's license then buying one and trying to get a grip is pretty difficult - I used them on the university for more than two years under's a student license which is pretty cool, because you can take time to learn and even change versions.
As for my biggest ship, I did an imperial star destroyer but it wasn't that heavy on details. I made some BSG ships a long time ago and these were my most detailed ones - I spent more than two months on each ... however, I was pretty slow at it so I just added random bits to it for hours :D

nice, I always wanted to learn 3ds max but I do not think the college I attend uses that program because it is a small university but I could be wrong. I did mess around with a trial version some years back about the only thing I mastered was making circles and cylinders. I might have to look around and see if I can get a student copy of it. :D

You can always try hooking up to some online universities, although you will have to do some work on your side to get to that copy in the end :D The University from which I got the licenses is actually one of the biggest University of Technology here so we just used our personal university-based email address to log onto the servers and get the activation keys.

I will have to check into that option. they may not recognize my school though it's pretty small. our technology department is pretty small. but it gives me an avenue to track down.

The science is making me tell you about the NASA Scramjet. You should take a look at it. [link] It reached mach 10. I would recommend watching a video or two about it and its design. Hopefully they can help you design more wonderful art. I like this a lot.

This kind of looks like a futuristic SR-71 Blackbird. That would be cool to see engineered/manufactured in real life. Very nice job on the artwork and glow effect by the engines. It makes it seem really Sci-Fi when you see thrusters like that.

Thanks a lot ! I agree that it's something that actually could be made - commisioner surely was inspired by current aircraft. I had no details on the engines other than a sketch so I decided to go with something that looks as if it was still thrust oriented but still was more futuristic.

Yeah. It's amazing. Wish I was good at vehicles like this because I couldn't draw vehicles even if I tried. I always get stuck on some part of the 3-dimensional drawing and just give up because then it screws up the rest of the drawing @_@

:iconadamkop:

Never give up :) You might want to look into 3D modeling programs such as sketch-up so that you can make a simple mesh, over which you can then draw over. I do that frequently for my perspective drawings - it makes screwing up almost impossible.

I think I have Sketch-Up on my MacBook. I'll have a gander at it later *Doing some Photoshop CS6 and drawing + homework that I'll probably procrastinate on until 8 PM tonight :P
